104 deported Indians from USA, land today

A US military aircraft carrying 104 Indian deportees landed in Amritsar on Wednesday, marking the first batch of Indians deported by the US government. The deportees hailed from various states including Haryana (33), Gujarat (33), Punjab (30), Maharashtra (3), Uttar Pradesh (3), and Chandigarh (2) Notably, the group included 19 women and 13 minors. This deportation is part of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration, which was announced last month.

 U.S. Withdraws from World Health Organization On January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order initiating the United States' withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO). TikTok is back in the US.

 TikTok is back in the US. The social media platform is restoring services after President-elect Donald Trump said he would give TikTok a reprieve when he takes office. On Sunday the Chinese-owned app went dark for 170 million American users, after a law banning it on national security grounds came into effect. But after Trump promised on Sunday to delay the implementation of the law and allow more time for a deal to be made, Tik Tok said that it was in the process of "restoring service". TikTok later thanked the incoming president for "providing the necessary clarity and assurance"
